Each student or pair of students has a grammar topic to study in depth. You will become a master of this topic—no question I ask should stump you! You will then teach the topic to the class.
STEPS
- You will research your topic. Find out as much as you possibly can about your topic. Begin with the handouts I give you and also the web sites on our class site: http://frcps-7th.wikispaces.com.
- You will create a poster that explains your topic. I must approve the rough draft of your poster before you make the final draft. Posters should be informative works of art!
- Present a mini-lesson to the class about your topic that includes:
- An explanation of your topic
- A short class activity involving your topic. (You may want the class to take notes, or you may provide a worksheet for them to follow along, or you may create a skit or game or some other way to review the lesson after you are done)
4. The last thing you need to make is a quiz for the class to take on your topic. They will take it the next day. |
