Sustainability Fund Campaign
At Four Rivers, an essential part of fulfilling our mission is providing learning opportunities that take students beyond our classroom walls.
Seniors travel around New England to interview local experts and shoot footage for their documentary.
Juniors engage in an internship week and create their own short films.
Tenth graders travel to Washington, D.C. to tour the capitol and meet with our local representatives.
“The projects that my son’s class has completed have not only given him a sound education in the subjects, but have often had an impact on the larger community. Expectations are clear and the ceiling is high.”
-Four Rivers Parent Survey
Ninth graders visit local farms, providing real-world context for their learning about agriculture and food systems.
In middle school, students visit GCC, museums, and rivers to perform research for their Postcards from the Past project and interview local upstanders for their Liveable Franklin County expedition.
Through intensives, we take students to the wilderness, our four rivers, colleges in all compass directions, the White Mountains, local food pantries, skateboard parks, and more.
We offer these experiences without charging extra student fees.
The money we raise through the Sustainability Fund supports our Expeditions and Intensives.
We call this appeal our Sustainability Fund, in part because the money raised helps our students learn things that contribute to the world’s sustainability and in part because it supports the sustainability of our school.
Thank you for donating whatever you can afford to support our students and their participation in these transformative programs.
