How to Apply

As a free charter public school in Massachusetts, our open enrollment is based on a random public lottery system held annually in February.

Priority in admission is given to students residing in the six secondary school districts within Franklin County and, following charter regulations, to siblings of currently enrolled students.

If there are spaces available in a grade after all in-district applicants have been placed, out-of-district students will be offered the next available spaces.

All applicants must be residents of Massachusetts.

See our enrollment policy for further details.

Application Deadline

Complete and submit an application by 9:00 am on April 28th or May 28th (see more below)

Interim Lotteries

Four Rivers Charter Public School announces possible openings in grades 9-12 with current openings for 11th grade for fall enrollment. Interim application deadlines are April 28th and May 28th at 9:00 a.m.  A lottery for each grade will be held the same day at 11:00 a.m. if there is an open spot for that grade and more than one applicant.

Other Information

Parents/Guardians are responsible for making sure the application has been received by the school by the due date, and that all information on the application is correct.

Applicants who miss the initial application deadline may participate as late applicants in subsequent interim lotteries, to be held as needed. All subsequent application deadlines and lottery dates will be posted in the local newspaper and at the school at least one month in advance. Late applicants participating in an interim lottery will be offered enrollment only after all applicants in the initial lottery have been offered a placement.
